In my last month in Madison, I packed it full of friends, food and fun activities. Here is a glimpse into the highlights.
Burn Boot Camp
I mostly went to Hilldale but also tried Middleton when Josh was the trainer and Fitchburg when Gavin was there. At Hilldale I had camps with Colton, Mary, Claire, Lizzy,

Walked on a frozen Lake Mendota
Picnic point is always one of my favorite spots in Madison bu this was on another level. As a southern girl, I had never had the experience of playing on a frozen lake like that. It was exhilarating and beautiful.

Winter Dome at Cafe Hollander
We ate and drank in one of the cute domes outside Cafe Hollander in the snow.

Winter Golf League
Vitense hosts the She-Ra Women’s Winter Golf League. I could only go for the first three weeks. The third week was 2 degrees so I did not end up going. The first two weeks were a blast. It was such a fun crew of women.

Beer & Cheese Fest
The ultimate Wisconsin experience. I made a pretzel necklace and everything. So much beer and so much cheese.

Play in the cold
I bundled up in the very cold weather! My Fjall Raven jacket was a lifesaver. It was nice to have an end in sight of midwest winter. Props to everyone who handles it but I was not meant for that intense of cold. The snow was pretty thought.

Restaurants and bars around Madison
I hit some of my favorite places before I left. A few of the faves included Tempest Oyster Bar, Tornado Steakhouse, Plain Spoke Cocktails, RED, bartaco, Grace Coffee Company, Shamrock, Woof’s and Heritage Tavern.

Hangs with friends
Eating, drinking and quality time with cool people was the vibe of my last month. Lamb, crab legs, pantry snacks and charcuterie. Champagne, rosé, and very random mixed drinks.

Show my mom around Madison
My mom is an angel who came to Wisconsin in January to help me pack the apartment. I wanted her to have a mix of fun and packing. We went to Camp Randall, Ho Chunk Casino and Hilldale. She won $10 over what she started with and I lost all that I started with at the casino. We went to Camp Randall to send good vibes to the Steelers Watt brothers because they were playing in the playoffs the next day.

Book Club
I had a small book club with a few friends and we met up to talk about The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. We met at Oz by Oz which is the coolest cocktail bar with perfect vibes for discussing books.

Wisconsin Grown Up Book Fair
This event was playing on the nostalgia of the scholastic book fair from elementary school. There were book tables from local bookstores, craft tables, trivia, a photo booth and also adult capri suns but those ran out quickly.

Going Away Party
Our last night in Wisconsin, some friends came by to hang out. Of course, I made people take lots of pictures.

Cheers Wisconsin.
